About CAABC

The Canadian Associated Air Balance Council (CAABC) is a non-profit association of qualified, independent test and balance agencies. In the 1960s testing and balancing emerged as a new specialty because the complexity of commercial heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC) systems exceeded the abilities of most HVAC contractors. Recognizing this new trend a small group of engineers met in 1965 to discuss ways to enhance the reputation and technical skills of TAB professions.
